Ty has been getting letters from many colleges who are watching him this upcoming football season. He has obviously gotten onto a recruiting list as several colleges we have never even heard of are sending him letters.

Amherst College - Amherst, MA
University of Redlands - Redlands, CA
Lawrence University - Appleton, WI
Lewis & Clark College - Portland, OR
Snow College - Ephriam, UT
Utah State University, Logan, UT
Southern Virginia University - Buena Vista, VA (LDS college)
University of Utah - SLC
Southern Utah University - Ceder City
(The ones in bold are the schools Ty has the most interest in attending.)
He was excited last week when he received an offer from SUU for tickets to 3 games.
Many more schools have scouts visiting the school during practice. He has met coaches from schools as prestigious as BYU & USC! (For non-football fans, USC is one of the top football programs in the country.)
Ty heads off to football camp on Monday. This is a big season for him. I hope he stays healthy and has the confidence he will need to lead his team this year. He has the talent take him to the next level of football if he chooses.
I remember this exciting time of life. There are so many big choices to make. You are only a kid and you know they are big decisions, you just don't know the full implication of where those decisions will take you. The great thing is that the Lord always has a hand in things and tends to put you on the path that is best for each of us. I am excited to see where Ty's path will take him.

Ahhh the double edged sword of having so many choices layed out before you. I so vividly remember that time of life when it is just starting to dawn on you that you may not know everything after all, yet you are required to make some of the most critical choices of your life! It doesn't seem fair does it. As long as Ty is prayerful and listens to the Lord, he will be OK. And in the meantime, he can enjoy all of the perks of being wooed! Way to go Ty!
What a great kid! He is an awesome example to his younger cousins. Ditto to what Nicole said on being prayerful.
We would love for him to come to WA. We would drive to watch him play. I think it is about two and half hours, maybe three.
It's so amazing that he has such great choices ahead. I don't really remember high school with great fondness, but I do remember how exciting and intimidating my senior year was, with all the decisions that have to be made. Good luck to both of you!
