Bingham football opened the season with a game against Viewmont. (The team that beat us 3 years running for the state title in little league.) There is so much pressure on Bingham to win. This week there was butterflies, short tempers, sleepless nights, upset stomachs, nerves, and general anxiety. (For Steve & I.) Thank goodness Ty was excited and just wanted to get the game started!
The game started off with a pass from Ty to a Viewmont defender who ran it in for a TD! Yikes. Luckily Ty came back and scored and scored and scored. Our defense was amazing too. The final score was 28 -8 for BHS! Ty remains undefeated. I thought Ty would buckle under the pressure. But in true Hannay form, he stepped up and did his thing like there wasn't hundreds of cheering fans.
After the game we came home and watched the prep football recaps on the news. Ty was on 2 channels. It was so fun to see him and watch the clips and hear his name!
Next week we play the state champs, Alta. We have lost to them 2 years in a row in the state final game. I think it's time for Bingham to win!

It is definately Bingham's turn for a win against Alta!! We told a friend of ours about Ty and he followed the game for us and told us all about it!! Fun!!
