District Leader

Here is Nate's letter home from this week - He is so cute!

Ok so i guess my email isnt working very good so here is the update. This week was the craziest week of my life!! i have so much to tell you so hopefully i wont forget anything... first of all last sunday they asked me to stand up and called me to be district leader right there in sacrament... haha it was pretty crazy! but its not that big of a deal cause really all i do is get the mail and go to a leadership meeting once a week. they also called on me right there to give a talk so it was kinda a double whammy. but its ok. Sundays are always awesome and i love how much i feel the spirit!

A few days later my companion told me that he peed blood... so that was not good. so we had to make an appointment to go to the doctor and we have been back three times since then!! haha before we went i went and bought some of the cheap Book of Mormons and was maybe going to give one out but i couldnt find anyone who wasnt LDS!!! haha like everyone ended up calling us elders... or asked us where we were going or whatever. haha so i ended up leaving one of the copies on the table where the magazines and stuff are hahahahaha! hopefully it will actually get used... oh well.

but ya we found out that my companion has a tiny kidney stone, but they wanted to make sure that it wasnt anything else so they had to stick a probe up into his bladder.... ya.... it was pretty graphic and he described it in detail to the whole zone. but good news is nothing is wrong and they said he would be fine!! we also got the cool opportunity for everyone in our district to give him a blessing which was awesome!

hopefully youve gotten my letter by now but just in case you havent... I AM PROBABLY GETTING A TOURIST VISA!!!!!!!!!! so on one of the doctor appointments we had to go to the medical center at main campus and we started talking to this elder going to spain who had some companions going to argentina! he told us they got tourist visas and then told us to go check the travel office to see if we got them! so we did and the guy there said that our whole mission was going to be able to leave on our assigned date!!!! i am so excited!!!! i have had such a hard time focusing the past couple days because we are all super excited!!!! now watch as i say that and i get reassigned to the salt lake city east mission.... lets hope not...

so i coudnt find the plan of salvation things that devin gave me in my bag, and i was wondering if i left them at home? if you could send them to me that would be great! and also because i will probably  be going to argentina, i will also need you to send me a power plug adapter thing! we talked to the guy at the book store and he said just to look it up on the internet to be sure to get the right thing! thank you so much!

i know its kinda early to be thinking about this but i am excited to be able to call you guys at the airport!! also everyone here is telling me that it is ok to call your friends? do you think that is true? if so i think i will have them all get together so i can talk to them cause everyone here getting travel plans have crazy long layovers so i will need something to do!! let me know what you think! i will give you more information probably in two weeks when i get my travel plans.

Everything is going so awesome here!!! it is super hard and sometimes really frusterating but i am loving it!! spanish is really hard but i am doing my best to be able to study! i still absolutely love my zone and we are all having a great time! the only bad part is we can all be very distracting to each other... who knew it would be hard going from doing absolutely nothing all day to actually having to study for hours at a time. it also doesnt help cause i am crazy excited to go to argentina!! when i found out about the visas it was like a dream.. cause like i had gotten myself in the mindset of going somewhere else and now that we are actually going to be in argentina in like two weeks... holy cow it is insane!!! everyone here is telling me such good stuff about argentina and i am so excited to get there!

when you get my letter if you could dear elder me or something and tell me if you think the ipod thing is a good idea that would be great. cause then i could send it home and get those songs on. also the precious savior dear redeemer one i found out is just a hymn.. and the one i heard was like a super cool version of it. so if you could find a cool version awesome but dont look too hard. i will think of other songs i want but if i cant send it then that isnt a big deal either!!

i love you guys and miss you!! VIVA ARGENTINA!!! i am not sure if that is right but i hear people saying that...
