My first missionary

Ty met with the Stake President last night. His papers have now been submitted to church headquarters. Our Bishop said they meet every Wed. and Thurs. to issue calls and then prepare the paperwork on Friday. Then the calls are mailed out on Monday or Tuesday. That means Ty's call should come in the mail Tues., Aug. 31 or Wed., Sep. 1.

When Ty received his partriaritcle blessing, the patriarch gave us some wise counsel. He suggested we have a family prayer and open his call as a family before we announce to extended family and friends. He said we would all receive a stronger spiritual confirmation as a small family rather than a large group. We are going to take that advice and then have a party that night at 7pm to announce the place Ty has been called. All our family and all his friends are invited. We are all putting our guesses as to where Ty might be called. I will flag all the guesses on the globe.
